Two roles, two kinds of data
Account data (we are the controller). When a cleaning firm sets up a calculator we collect the firm's details (business name, prices, service areas, logo, colour), the email address leads are sent to, and a Stripe customer ID once they subscribe. We use it to run the service, take payment, and contact the firm about their account.
Lead data (we are the processor). When a customer of a firm uses a calculator and asks for a quote, we collect their name, email, phone number (optional), postcode, the options chosen and the quote shown. That data belongs to the firm. We process it only on the firm's behalf, to pass it to the firm and to email the customer a copy of their quote. The firm is the controller and decides what to do with it.
How long we keep it
- Leads: 180 days, then deleted.
- Firm accounts: until the firm asks us to delete the account.
- Launch-list emails: until we have told you we have opened, or you ask to be removed.
Who else handles data
We use two sub-processors: Cloudflare (hosting, storage and email routing) and Stripe (payments; we never see or store card numbers). We do not sell personal data.
Cookies
We do not use cookies. We store one item in your browser's localStorage, on the device a firm owner uses, so their private edit link keeps working. Nothing is used for tracking or advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to how it is used, or to move it. To erase account data, or lead data we hold for a firm, email us and we will act within one month. If you are a firm's customer, you may also ask the firm directly.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
